Connecting to Outlook 2003 to Exchange
Connecting to Outlook 2003 to Exchange
Solution
You connect your Outook 2003 to an Exchange server. To do this:
If you already have Outlook setup with an existing e-mail account, you will have to setup a new Exchange account by first clicking the mail icon in the control panel.
Once you click the Mail icon, choose the E-mail Accounts button --> Add a new e-mail account --> Microsoft Exchange Server
Enter the name of your exchange server (see your customer specification sheet). Make sure "Use Cached Exchange Mode" is checked. Enter your username but DO NOT click Check Name. Click the More Settings Button
From the next menu, choose the Connection tab --> Check Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP. Click the Exchange Proxy Settings.
Enter your server address (see your customer specification sheet) and make sure you choose Basic Authentication from the box below.
Choose OK to accept all the changes.
Now choosing check name should show your full name. You will now be connected to Microsoft Exchange next time you run Outlook.
